The latest DLC is out for PowerWash Simulator (the base game is still on Game Pass), and it’s Warhammer 40,000! You’ll get five new machines of war to clean, and it’s exactly what you hoped for.
The targets
There are five total machines to clean in this special pack, they are:
- The Ultramarines Land Raider
- The Dark Angels Deathwing Redemptor Dreadnought
- The Astra Militarum Rogal Dorn Tank
- The House Hawkshroud Imperial Knight
- The Blood Angels Thunderhawk
They’re full of all the tiny nooks and crannies that you love to hate. Model-wise they look great though the areas you clean them in are so singular in color schemes that things can blur together a bit. I play at a higher field-of-view and things can look slightly off when stretched out.
You get a ton of silly, over-the-top dialogue as you hit cleaning milestones. Lots of praising of the Omnissiah and militaristic jargon pop up on the screen’s right side, and it’s typically good dumb fun. Being a Warhammer 40k-themed DLC you’ll have tons of metal to clean, and only so much metal cleaner to use. I did feel a little frustrated with a few of the larger vehicles as cleaning them was a right pain in the arse.
Controls on Xbox are as stiff or loose as you’d like, and I still find a mouse to be the easiest way to enjoy the game. As always the main sounds to accompany you are those coming out of your spray nozzle.
Wrapping Things Up
The Warhammer 40,000 Special Pack is another well-done PowerWash Simulator DLC and well worth its $8 price tag. More reasons to come back to this classic, whose base game is still on Game Pass, are always welcome.

Xbox Series X
PROS
- Models look great
- Excellent mix of hard areas to clean and easy
CONS
- Backgrounds can be a bit ugly
Such a cool and relaxing game. Never thought it would be so enjoyable, but it turned out to be super addictive. Haven’t bought any of the paid DLC just yet, but I might.
I’ve bought both the other two paid DLCs and been a fan, I don’t really know Warhammer that well but will probably buy this too with some reward points to give me more to clean.
Agree on it being addictive - that “ping” just does something in the reward centre of my brain, I swear lol
I know exactly what you mean, haha.
I do have to admit though there have been some near hair pulling moments in the main game in some levels. Trying to find a tiny spot I hadn’t cleaned yet and even with the button to have it show it was hard to see, lol.
But overall, what a surprise. One thing is for sure, if there is gonna be a sequel, I’ll get it, if it’s not a GP launch.
Same lol, House Flipper didn’t have the same staying power but is a similar one I’d never have tried without Game Pass but have happily bought DLC for and will buy the sequel.
Those tiny bits are annoying - I’m glad the start button has that list with “Clean!” against items so you can scroll down and find the specific object as some of the bigger ones it takes long enough to find the hidden spot without having to check every object
I’ve never played House Flipper. Checked it out on YouTube and that looks cool! If it’s still on GP I’ll go check it out tomorrow.
House Flipper rules, really enjoying 2 on PC right now as well.
First: Thanks (again) for doing DLC reviews, something I find is lacking elsewhere!
Second: I need this.
