Starfield is still one of the most played games on Xbox more than a month after it was released in early access on August 31st. The game currently holds the top spot for most played game on Game Pass in the United States, the third most played game overall in the United States behind Fortnite and Call of Duty, and is amongst the top 5 most played games on Game Pass and overall in various other territories.
True Achievements, which is a third-party website that tracks playtime based on a sampling of Xbox accounts from various regions, has the game as the most played Xbox game as of October 1st.
Despite the typical online backlash games of this popularity see post launch, Starfield still seems to be holding strong and has clearly found an audience. It remains to be seen if the game will have the legs of Skyrim or Fallout 4, but it’s a great start for Bethesda Game Studios, and the studio have already confirmed their commitment to support the game for years to come.
