It’s that time of year again. Xbox has just announced the date for their annual Xbox Games Showcase and have provided details for what will be there. They also tease a direct that will be coming right after the showcase but are currently keeping that close to the vest. In a writeup on Xbox Wire, they say:
“Mark your calendars! The Xbox Games Showcase will be livestreamed on June 9, 2024, starting at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST (additional time zones below).
Like our double-feature last year with Starfield Direct, immediately following the Showcase we’ll be airing a special deep-dive into the next installment of a beloved franchise. We can’t say much, so for now we’ll call it the Xbox Games Showcase followed by [REDACTED] Direct.
This will also be our first Showcase featuring games from our portfolio of studios across Activision, Blizzard, Bethesda and Xbox Game Studios, in addition to titles from our third-party partners.”

This year event is shaping up to have a lot of exciting looking games, including looks at confirmed for 2024 releases such as Avowed, Towerborne, and Indiana Jones. Games like Fable, Perfect Dark, South of Midnight, and more feel likely to show up as well. Whatever the
And then we have the [Redacted] Direct following the showcase. It is currently unclear what that game is, but the logo feels like a Call of Duty logo and could be the rumored Black Ops game set during the Gulf War that is rumored for a 2024 release. Whatever ends up being at the showcase, Xbox has a history of putting on a great summer showcase, and we expect this year to be no different.
