The Fable gameplay shown during today’s Xbox Games Showcase was captured on an Xbox Series X according to Lukas Koelz, a lead lighting artist on Fable. There were some questions about the Fable footage today, mainly if it was in fact real footage of the game (likely because of how good it looked).

This statement by Koelz, as well as this tweet by David Springate, Chief Engineer on the game, confirms that the Fable footage we saw was real in game footage of the game on Xbox’s flagship console.
