Xbox will send out invites to select Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to test out the service via Windows 10 PC’s and Apple Phones and Tablets. You will be able to launch xCloud through three browsers; Edge, Google Chrome, or Safari.
This is a limited Beta, so unfortunately not everyone will be able to participate. However, the news is still exciting as xCloud will finally be expanding to new devices and new players.

It is noted in the Xbox Wire article that this is an “exciting step on our journey to bring gaming to the 3 billion players around the world.” It has been discussed numerous times how Xbox is truly more than a Console company nowadays, and expanding Cloud Gaming to IOS and PC is just one more step to help them fulfill that mantra.
Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox, confirmed on Twitter that xCloud server blade upgrades are “already in internal testing”. The current version of xCloud uses Xbox One S blades, meaning when you play on xCloud you are playing the Xbox One version of the game. When the blades are upgraded, it will be powered by Xbox Series X hardware. The Verge has an excellent story on this if you would like to read more.
