Hades 2 is hitting Early Access on PC so the burning question of when is Hades 2 coming to consoles is hot on everyone’s mind.
Hades II is the sequel to 2020’s original masterpiece. That launched into early access as well and did not hit the Xbox console until 11 months after version 1.0. What do we know about Hades II’s release window and if it will possibly come to consoles again?
Hades II’s developer Supergiant Games has stated that the game will remain in Early Access on PC at least through the end of 2024. Hades 1 launched version 1.0 on PC, Mac, and Switch with the Xbox and PlayStation versions coming 11 months later. Information indicates that the version 1.0 launch will again be a mix of PC and Console platforms, though which ones outside of Windows are as of yet unclear. The game is light on system requirements so a launch on the Switch platform (as well as its successor) should be in the cards again. Supergiant Games seem happier with Xbox as well and chances are high that an Xbox and PlayStation launch at 1.0 is more probably this time around.

It can be tough to believe that this is an early access launch, as the vast amount of high-quality, full voiced-over writing is as good as anything they’ve done before. Melinoë is immediately likable, with a chip on her shoulder as she desperately attempts to save the family she never got to know.”
