Yesterday was the first ever Triple-i Showcase, a brand new video livestream designed to shine a light on a surprising number of indie projects from a variety of developers. It was originally conceived of by participant and Dead Cells developer Evil Empire, with a lofty goal of putting on a show to “Speak directly to players – no hosting segments, no advertisements, no sponsorships, no extra fluff – just games.”
They certainly achieved just that, with over 40 minutes of trailers and announcements and a few surprises to boot! We’ve picked out the ones that are coming to the Xbox platform, with surprise appearances from previously announced 33 Immortals and a brand new Prince of Persia game from the developers Evil Empire.
The Rogue Prince of Persia
Surprise! Evil Empire have taken their excellent work on Dead Cells and created a super interesting take on the Prince of Persia franchise, shown for the first time during the Triple-i Showcase. With a unique artstyle and a banging soundtrack, we meet a brand new prince who’s just as adept at wall-running as the rest. Jesse went hands-on with the game and his preview is available, right here.
33 Immortals
A fresh glimpse at 33 Immortals has us even more excited to get our hands on the game. From developers Thunder Lotus, this is an online 33-player co-operative roguelite. It’s action packed, fast and absolutely gorgeous. There’s a new, closed beta coming on the 24th May, going right through until June 2nd.
Palworld gets an Arena Mode
Palworld broke all sorts of records this year, breaking records for Xbox Game Pass and PC, and the developers aren’t resting on their laurels. Instead, we got a sneak peek at Arena Mode, where you and some friends will take your pals into battle, duking it for the ultimate victory.
There’s been plenty more announced, from Slay The Spire 2 to What The Car? so feel free to go check out all the videos and reveals over on the Triple-iii initiative’s YouTube channel, right here.
