Cursed pets and chests, a Viva Piñata shipset and more added to Sea of Thieves in the Crews of Rage update

It’s time for another monthly update for Sea of Thieves. The newest update is called Crews of Rage. The biggest changes to the game this month are the pirate appearance potion, cursed chests and a whole lot of new cosmetics.

Pirate appearance potion

From today you’ll be able to change the look of your pirate. Choose the gender, body size and face of your pirate witht he Pirate Appearance Potion. Sadly enough this quality of life feature is behind a paywall. It’ll cost 150 Ancient Coins, which equals areound $1.49.

It is possible to earn these coins in-game, by killing ancient skeletons. But those are rare.

The Pirate Appearance Potion can be bought in the Pirate Emporium.

Cursed pets

With the crews of rage the Pirate Emporium received other new items. A new type of pet has been added to the shop, these cursed pets called Reaper Heart’s Pets look scary and are the perfect companion for a mysterious or evil pirate.

Cursed chests

The newest chest added to the game is the cursed chest. This chest heats up over time. When it’s overheated it’ll blow up and release an area of effect outburst of fire.

Oh, and if you leave this chest on your ship unattended it could set your ship on fire. Just a heads up.

The candy filled creatures are back!

This months update is mostly a cosmetic update, with plenty of new sails, clothes and pet outfits to buy. One special ship livery we wanted to show you is the Viva Piñata ship livery. It won’t get much more colorful.

So eh.. Rare. When do we get a new Viva Piñata game? 😉
