Today Thunderful revealed SteamWorld Heist II. It’s a new game in the SteamWorld franchise which spans multiple genres. SteamWorld Heist II is a sequel to SteamWorld Heist, a 2015 2D turn-based tactics shooter.
SteamWorld Heist II brings the SteamWorld franchise back to the 2D adventure roots. And fans of the franchise don’t have to wait long, as the game is set to release on August 8th. It’s set to release on Xbox, PC and Game Pass.
The developers have revealed more information on the game. Their press release states this:

Last year a new game in the SteamWorld franchise was released in an entirely different genre. SteamWorld Build is a real-time strategy/simulation game that’s also available on Game Pass.
