This Week on XboxEra (Nov 9th – Nov 16th)

We're cooking!

In my humble opinion, XboxEra isn’t like other community funded outlets. I think we do more – a lot more – and while I don’t want to throw any shade, I do want to highlight the sheer volume of work our team put in, week in, week out. So, in our new feature, every Sunday, we’ll give you a look at the week ahead on our site, for our readers, and for our dedicated community. So, let’s take a look at This Week, on XboxEra.

Every week, we’ll be laying out exactly what we’re up to, from new features, interviews, previews and of course, in-depth reviews of the latest games. While we’ll never share specifically embargoed details for say things like game reviews, we will give an indication that a review – or multiple reviews – will drop on a specific day.

In addition, we will, where possible share upcoming features, tease interviews and previews, and generally try to be as transparent and informative as possible. From a video livestream point of view, we’ll detail when folks can expect to tune in, be it to our twice weekly news-focused show, Headlines, or ad-hoc streams like Coffee With Cabesa or Hangouts.

We also want to really underline who this is for; the people that are supporting us directly, month in, month out. Our community and our Patrons mean everything to us, so we’ll be detailing when they can expect exclusive content and how often.

It’s also incredibly cathartic to show off just how much this team produces, beyond our publicly available livestreams and mainline content like The XboxEra Podcast. We’ve got a ton of Patreon Exclusive content, like our movie focused show Sik & Nick’s Flicks, exclusive first-looks at games with our Patreon Peeps series, in addition to shows like Thanks, I hate it! and new content like our Tiermaker focused show, Delicious Tiers.

We’re also committed to listening to our community with monthly Patreon Town Halls where our community can speak up, share their thoughts, and guide us on what they want to see next.

As always, this is the start of a process working with our community – let us know what works, what you want more detail on. And we’ll continue to improve and grow. Doing this for a living is a privilege, and we’re so grateful for your support.

Support Our Team

XboxEra is a community-first, community funded publication. If you value what we do, and want to have a direct say in what we cover, consider supporting us directly on Patreon.

All you need to do is head on over to patreon.com/xboxera and for less than a cup of coffee a month, you’ll help keep this publication alive. As a bonus, you’ll find that we create more content than many other Patreon supported publications, and we give more back in return.

So go on, do something awesome.

Stuck on this god-forsaken island. Father of two, wishes he could play more games but real life always gets in the way. Prefers shorter and often smarter experiences, but Halo is King.
