Gears of War: Reloaded Day 1 Patch Notes

Gears of War: Reloaded is out for everyone (on everything no less) later today, and developers The Coalition have been hard at work with a Day One Patch to improve the game before it even gets into your hands. It’s often the case for us folks working in the industry – the version we play in order to bring you a review can often be very outdated by the time the game becomes publicly available.

The team at The Coalition have taken to Social Media to share details on fixes that have already been implemented ahead of release, and we’ve got the details for you below for convenience.

Per The Coalition, “This Day 1 update delivers crucial stability and bug fixes to ensure a smoother gameplay experience. Players will notice fewer crashes and stalls, especially on PC, thanks to fixes for several crash scenarios and a remedy for a persistent low-frame-rate issue when using  DualSense® controllers on PC. A variety of gameplay and UI bugs have been solved – for example, corrected translations and on-screen text errors, fixed input responsiveness on certain devices, and more consistent network and matchmaking behavior. Additionally, a few quality-of-life improvements have been added; notably, support for handheld devices is enhanced, allowing them to properly switch to mouse-and-keyboard UI mode when appropriate. Below is a detailed breakdown of the changes, categorized by their impact areas.
