Today, Microsoft dropped a new episode of the Official Xbox Podcast, in which they’ve invited Fatima Kardar, who’s introduced ‘Copilot for Gaming’, which they claim is the “ultimate gaming sidekick that helps players get to play faster, sharpen skills with expert coaching, and enjoy a more social gaming experience.“
During the show, the podcast crew take a look at ‘Copilot for Gaming’, which, according to an XboxWire Blog post, ‘Xbox Insiders can get an early preview of on mobile soon‘.
According to Microsoft, the AI is “designed to be your personalized gaming companion, helping you get to your favorite games faster, coaching you to improve your skills, and connecting you better with your friends and communities. Copilot for Gaming will be there when you need it but out of the way if you don’t.“

Heads up though, the Copilot for Gaming ‘in game assistance’ you’ll see in the video are mere concepts, and not representative of any final product.
As any gamer has probably pulled up a guide to get answers on how to complete something or grab an achievement, I certainly understand the use-case for this. I do wonder how gaming media will feel about their work being scraped by another AI bot where they won’t see a penny though.
Xbox Play Anywhere has over 1000+ Games.

Also on the show (besides Copilot for Gaming), the legendary Jason Ronald shared that over 1000 games are now supporting Xbox Play Anywhere. This isn’t news to us of course, because our team and our wonderful community pointed this little fact out last November.
Regardless, Jason pointed out some metrics on Play Anywhere that we didn’t know, saying “When we look at data for titles that are Xbox Play Anywhere enabled, these titles get 20% more gameplay because it’s more flexible, because I can play on the go.”
Pretty cool huh? Xbox Play Anywhere sure is useful for a gaming handheld, at any rate.

Excited to see how AI is transforming gaming! Can’t wait to try out Copilot for Gaming!
