Ninja Theory, the developers behind the upcoming Xbox Game Studios title Senua’s Saga, Hellblade II have confirmed a photo mode is available in the game via a post on Twitter.

They shared four photos which are uploaded below for your convenience.

The Xbox.com store listing details the game as:

The sequel to the award winning Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Senua returns in a brutal journey of survival through the myth and torment of Viking Iceland. Intent on saving those who have fallen victim to the horrors of tyranny, Senua faces a battle of overcoming the darkness within and without. Sink deep into the next chapter of Senua’s story, a crafted experience told through cinematic immersion, beautifully realised visuals and encapsulating sound.

Hellblade II will release on May 21st, 2024 directly into Game Pass on Cloud, Console, and PC. It will retail for $49.99 US and is stated to be similar in length to the original title, which we recently reviewed.

“Hellblade is simply a great experience, and after finishing it for the very first time recently, I am even more excited for Hellblade II. The game is available on Game Pass, so if you haven’t taken the journey to Hellheim yet or want a quick refresher before the sequel releases on May 21st, it’s a game I fully recommend.”

Discussion:

  1. Yeah, game looks insane.

  2. Not a photo mode guy, but out of all games this one makes the most sense for the photo mode being used in marketing socials. Perhaps the first game we get going for hyper realism using nanite, lumen and all the bells and whistles of the UE5 dev environment(?)
