Xbox had its second-ever Partner Showcase today where they showed off fourteen titles. It featured a mix of known and new games alike, with a handful coming to Game Pass on day one.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess Coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2024. Featuring a mix of hack-and-slash action alongside strategy elements set in a colorful art style.
The Sinking City 2 was announced, coming from developer Frogwares. We reviewed the original back at launch and loved its dour stylings and solid writing. It wasn’t given a date but brought all the C’thulu-style madness one would expect from the series
Persona 3 Reload had its expansion pass announced and detailed for the first time. Also it’s coming to Game Pass Ultimate as a perk for all members! The expansion pass is self-described as “featuring new costumes, background music, and extended story content with Episode Aigis -The Answer“
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Legends of the Zone Trilogy Available Today on Xbox. Setting fans up for this year’s launch of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 the first three titles are coming to consoles. They’re available today, hard as balls, and should offer a lot of gloriously frustrating playtime.
Unknown 9: Awakening debuted new gameplay. We got to see gameplay featuring the game’s hero, Haroona. She is played by Anya Cholatra of The Witcher TV series fame. There is an in-depth article about the title that you can find on the Xbox Wire
Tales of Kenzera: Zau gave us a new gameplay trailer that was narrated by the ever talented Abubakar Salim. It featured the game’s mask mechanics which can change how you traverse through its world. The title will be released on April 23, 2024.
Chucky is coming to Roblox. You read that right! One of the biggest announcements, and I am being serious, is that a Chucky mode is coming to Roblox today. The expansion is titled Griefville: Survive the Nightmare! and knowing my kids they’ll be playing it a ton.
Creatures of Ava featured a stylized, colorful look as you learn to tame the various creatures of the planet Ava. The hero is hoping to save the planet from a world-eating infection, and you can read more about it on the Xbox wire.
Monster Jam Showdown is a big ‘ole Monster Truck game. There were races and stunt events shown off. It features real-world Monster Trucks and will be released this year.
The Alters was shown by 11-bit Studios, featuring unique “cloned versions of the protagonist that made different choices in their life” mechanic. There was exploration and Fallout Shelter-like habitat building displayed and it is releasing Day One on Game Pass.
First Berserker: Khazan is a souls-like based on the Dungeon & Fire Universe. You will play as the hero Khazan, who was betrayed, as he seeks revenge. No date was given and the framerate looks plenty rough, so we suspect we’ll have to wait for this one.
Frostpunk 2 was given a release date! It’s coming Day One on Game Pass for PC on July 24th, 2024. The game describes itself as “set 30 years after an apocalyptic blizzard ravaged Earth, transforming our world into a harsh, icy wasteland. In Frostpunk 2, you must face a new deadly threat that appears on the horizon — human nature and its unsatiated thirst for power.”
Sleight of Hand is an upcoming stealth title. We got a cinematic trailer that showcased its focus on stealth using a cursed deck of cards. Taking place in the “rain-slicked city of taboo, where ritual magic and cursed artefacts set apart those with power from those without.”

The Alters is the best of the show for me, very excited for that. Others that caught my attention are Sleight of Hand, Unknown 9, and Creatures of Ava. Path of the Goddess remains interesting but I hope it’s something that I vibe with, I’m not the best with strategy defence type games.
I really liked the show and the GP announcements, I watched live with you all and I agree completely with what you said, the people at Game Pass that are curating the games have been nailing it with getting those unique and innovative smaller & AA games, the type that is exactly “perfect for Game Pass” hehe, and the whole show really showed the great breadth of the genres & creativity in the industry currently.
I’m totally with you, unlike the vocal negativity and toxicity in the discourse, I think gaming just keeps getting better, and creativity is coming from everywhere with levels of accessibility we never had before.

Not sure that I would’ve been willing to give Creatures of Ava a try without Game Pass, but it intrigues me enough to certainly give it a download.
Watched your live stream and agree that Unknown 9 : Awakening is a dumb name for a good looking game, very curious about that one. And some other interesting stuff, nice to see we can be surprised by what is shown.
