Phil Spencer appeared on CNBC today alongside Todd Howard to answer a few questions about the launch of Starfield. On the show, Spencer revealed that Starfield is already the most played next-gen (Xbox Series X/S) exclusive game for the company. He also revealed that the game is the most wish listed game between Xbox or Bethesda ever on Steam.
Xbox has yet to reveal official player counts for the game as Starfield has just left early access, but early returns in terms of player tracking seems promising. It’s already one of the most played games on Xbox and is the number one seller on Steam. We will have to wait until official word from Xbox to see just how big of a launch Starfield is having.
