Highly Anticipated City-Builder Manor Lords smashes new milestone

The most wishlisted game on Steam

Manor Lords, a new city-builder and strategy game from developer Slavic Magic and publisher Hooded Horse is smashing milestones even before it’s been released.

Manor Lords had already made waves from the moment it was announced, with the 2022 demo generating over 500,000 wishlists on Steam. When the game got a release date, it surpassed 2 million. Then, as the marketing machine ramped up – 2.5 million.

Now, as per a recent press release, they’ve smashed past an incredible milestone, with over 3 million gamers wish-listing the game on Steam. As our headline rightly states, it proves one thing – it is indeed, highly anticipated, and is the most wishlisted game on Steam.

Manor Lords is inspired by 14th Century medieval life, and aims to present a high degree of historical accuracy as it tasks players from humble beginnings as they start with a small village and grow an imposing medieval empire. Players can expect complex city-building, production chains and real time combat when the game releases, and good news – it’s coming to PC Game Pass too.

Impressively, Slavic Magic is a polish development studio led by Greg Styczeń, and he’s a mostly solo developer, working on this new take on the city-builder-meets-strategy game.

As per Hooded Horse CEO, Tim Bender – “Slavic Magic has done amazing work. We’re honored and glad to be his publisher and help him realize his dream.”

Manor Lords will release into early access for PC on April 26, 2024 via SteamGOGEpic Games Store, and will also be available day one on PC Game Pass.

Are you excited to try out Manor Lords? I know we are, and we’ll be bringing out impressions on the game as soon as we can.
