Editorial Policy

At XboxEra, we love games. You can expect us to produce a variety of content, from news reporting, opinion pieces, previews and reviews. We also host live podcast shows, like the XboxEra Podcast and Headlines, among others, and when possible, all of our reviews have video content produced to accompany the written piece.

We’re an independent publication focused on the Xbox platform primarily, though as lovers of video games, we may choose to cover releases on other platforms, at our discretion. As the Xbox platform continues to shift and change, we will adjust to these changes as needed. You can find all of our content at the following links:

XboxEra is primarily Community funded by our Patreon Community. If you love what we do, consider supporting us directly – just head to patreon.com/xboxera.

Advertising

As an independent outlet, we don’t have large departments to handle separate activities. Our team and our content will only ever be posted at our discretion, and we’re never influenced by commercial offers, compliments or large volumes of cold hard cash.

We try to keep advertising from our advertising suppliers on XboxEra.com and related websites relevant to our community and their interests wherever possible, and refuse to accept what we determine to be inappropriate content. If you see something you think shouldn’t be on our website, let us know so we can take action – you can email us via [email protected].

Affiliate Policies

We occasionally link to retailers (Amazon, Xbox etc) and may receive money from purchases made by our users. However, these links have no effect on our editorial decisions, and typically appear in useful places, like alerting our community to deals that may be relevant to them, or directly to the Xbox store on our reviews for users to buy their games directly. The language will typically look something like this:

“Buy this product on Amazon”
