Monday:

Tuesday brought a wave of announcements and releases, with playable demos for Replaced and Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf set to arrive. ARC Raiders kicked off a new ‘Shared Watch’ event alongside update 1.15.0, while Monster Hunter Wilds confirmed its final update is coming later this month. Relooted launched directly into Xbox Game Pass, and a leak revealed February’s PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium lineup, reportedly headlined by Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Not bad, hey?

Wednesday:
Midweek news focused heavily on Xbox, as age verification measures officially went live in the UK but were met with widespread user issues. Narrative adventure Ashes confirmed a Steam demo for 17 February, and Warframe brought back its annual Lunar Year Celebration event with new cosmetics. Xbox also revealed the winners of its 2025 ‘Xbox Excellence’ Awards, while Diablo II: Resurrected added a new class – Warlocks! – and joined Xbox Game Pass.

Industry news also surfaced as Wildlight Entertainment confirmed major layoffs following Highguard’s release, while ARC Raiders celebrated a major milestone, surpassing 14 million copies sold. The big deal though? Sony’s State of Play, which saw a bevvy of updates and new game announcements.

Friday:
The week wrapped up with confirmations for February 2026’s full PlayStation Plus lineup, alongside major award news as Expedition 33 secured five wins at the D.I.C.E. 2025 Awards.
