Diablo II: Resurrected has had two surprise additions, the Warlock class and a spot in Xbox Game Pass.

It’s been 25 years
Diablo II: Resurrected is adding a new class, for the first time in 25 years. Warlocks are coming per a blog post on the Xbox Wire. The game is also joining Xbox Game Pass, though that is not mentioned in the blog itself.
- First new class in 25 year, making 8 total
- Focuses on summons, binding demons, and consuming them
- Described as a ‘heartfelt tribute’ to the Diablo II community
This release is part of Diablo II’s 30th anniversary. The Warlock is decribed as a tough, smart character who doesn’t wait for guidance when the world begins to fall apart. There are three core summoned demons, the Goatman, the Tainted, and the Defiler. The Warlock focuses on binding one demon at a time. You can absorb their lifeforce for temporary buffs, though you are then on your own for the time being.
A YouTube video explaining the class is listed down below:
The game joins Xbox Game Pass as the latest Blizzard title to hit the service. That gives us all four mainline entries in the series as available on PC and/or Xbox consoles. The title is available in the Premium and Ultimate tiers of the service.
