Starfield’s next update should be coming to us ‘soon’ per insider

Long-time, highly accurate gaming insider Shinobi602 has taken to a forum to anounce the timing of the next Starfield info drop. According to Shinobi we will hear about Starfield’s updates at some point in March, 2026.

The game, which is reported to come to PS5 in April, has been a lightning rod of console-wars since its release. Released to initially rave reviews, things quickly soured roughly a month after launch. This has been typical of the Bethesda Game Studios release-cycle. Their games, similar to Halo titles, tend to review well at launch and then quickly turn as internet discourse picks them apart.

I reviewed the main Starfield campaign, alongside its expansion, Shattered Space, and loved them both.

Rumors of a ‘Starfield 2.0’ release have been around for a while now. Internet content creators, including Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller, were supposedly shown what was coming to the title. They’re even allowed to say that they’ve seen it, but not what it entails. It will be interesting to see what changes we have in store. The long teased ‘Terran Armada’ update has seen the game shift from constant updates with smaller drops to a now year+ long wait for new content.
