Today, Publisher Thunderful and Developers Wishfully have revealed the release date of the highly anticipated Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf. Check out the new release date trailer below!
A direct follow up to the original Planet of Lana, this sequel continues the journey for both Lana and the adorable Mui, following the arrival of technology to their planet. Per the developers, “As greed and power divide the tribes of their home planet, Lana and her loyal companion Mui must stand together against the forces reshaping their world – struggling not just for survival, but for the very soul of their home. Embark on an unforgettable cinematic puzzle journey across Novo, where ancient mysteries and new threats will test your wits, challenge Lana’s unbreakable bond with Mui, and guide her toward her destiny.

We went hands-on with the game during Gamescom last year on both the ROG Xbox Ally and on PC, and it is absolutely lovely, wish is sort of to be expected at this point. Per our preview, we said “After around two hours playing through various sections of what promises to be a much longer and deeper experience, Planet of Lana 2 impresses. I suspect that once again, the developers at Wishfully are going to tug on our heartstrings and tease our brains with another gorgeous platforming puzzler. Reuniting with Lana and Mui was a pleasure, and I can’t wait to see where this next adventure takes us.“
If you’re keen to try before you buy, Wishfully have announced a demo for the game is coming on February 11th, which will give you your own first hands-on playtime in Lana and Mui’s new adventure.
Planet of Lana II is coming to Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on March 5th, 2026. You can wishlist the game now.
