This week, developer Tactic Studios and publisher SQUARE ENIX announced that their coming multiplayer murder mystery action title ‘KILLER INN’ will launch on PC via Steam’s Early Access programme on 12 February @ 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET / 5PM GMT / 6PM CET. But you don’t have to wait to get in on the shanking: a free play weekend will begin on 6 February and run til the 9th, and everyone who participates in the “Free Stay Weekend”, as well as any of the previous Closed Beta Tests, will receive a special weapon skin and nameplate banner (*Design and content are subject to change without notice; items may be distributed in the future.) upon the Early Access release.

To kick off the Free Stay Weekend, players are also encouraged to tune into a live developer talk hosted through the official KILLER INN Discord channel, which will be held on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET.
From the Start of Early Access, Lambs and Wolves from around the world can look forward to experiencing the following content:
- Playable Characters – Through gameplay, players can unlock a total of 27 playable characters, each with two unique abilities. Players can also instantly unlock characters through an optional in-game purchase.
- Four Game Modes – Players can select one of the following game modes to play:
- Tutorial: this guided mode will walk players through the game’s essential rules and game flow, preparing them to dive into the action
- Training: this single player mode enables players to run freely around the game maps and familiarize themselves with the controls
- Casual: participate in thrilling matches with a total of 24 players
- Custom: play with a specific group of players or friends (recommended for 8-9 players or more)
- Maps – Two maps will be available: Lunum Wing and Solarium Wing
As KILLER INN enters the Early Access stage of its development, the development team will actively seek player input to further refine the game ahead of its official release. From the start of Early Access, players can purchase one of the following versions of the game on Steam:
- Standard Edition (limited-time discounted) – Includes the base game, available at an 10% discount off the Early Access price of $9.99 for a limited time. After two weeks of the discount period, the Standard Edition will be available at the regular Early Access price of $9.99.
- Special Supporter Edition (limited-time Early Access price $29.99) – Includes the base game, two additional playable characters (Bibi the Sleuth and LOVE the Serial Killer), two Eclipse Archive series skins (Club, Body Armor), two Artifacts series skins (SMG, Axe) and custom lobby advanced rule editing features**. Available at a 10% discount off the Early Access price of $29.99 for two weeks from launch.
KILLER INN is a murder mystery action game, fought between the minority team of wolves and the majority team of lambs. Set in a mysterious old castle, 24 players engage in a life-or-death battle of deception. Wolves must disguise themselves amongst the lambs, taking them down one by one. The lambs collect clues (hair, fingerprints, clothing, etc.) left behind at the murder scenes to narrow down the wolves and eliminate them. Enjoy a battle between detectives and murderers as if you have wandered into the world of a mystery drama.
