Xbox has just announced a new Xbox Design Labs controller ‘inspired by’ the upcoming Day One Game Pass release.

Xbox Design Labs have released their latest ‘inspired by’ controller look, this time for High On Life 2. The title will release on Xbox, PlayStation 5, and PC on February 13th, 2026. It is a Day One Xbox Game Pass Ultimate/PC title and is Xbox Play Anywhere. The look of the design features a see-through front face-plate and the vapor-wave and orange color scheme of the game’s key art. Bright blue analog sticks are paired with a pink back and face buttons.
You can find a link to the design labs template HERE, where you can further customize the design. One thing I noticed is that the image above shows orange around the analog stick bases, while the actual design labs page is missing that (pictured below). It also retails for just over $200 US and that is with a discount.

Keep an eye on Xbox Era as we should have a review close to the game’s launch. I was lucky enough to preview the title during Gamescom 2025, and it was fun as all heckin butts:
I loved the original High On Life back in 2023. Equal parts hilarious Metroidvania and competent first-person person-shooter, developer Squanch Games is back with a bigger in every way sequel. I got to play roughly 45 minutes of the game’s opening at Gamescom in a bespoke demo full of sensible chuckles, jokes that go on far too long, and a greater sense of speed than the original ever had.
