Check out the trailer below.

Nintendo Share ‘Virtual Boy Classics’ Coming This February

While it will forever surprise me that more folks aren’t quite rightly miffed at having backwards compatible games locked behind a subscription service, it surprises me more that they might be willing to strap this to their eye sockets – except you don’t do that, you sort of balance it…on the table. Or buy a cardboard one? I have no idea. It’s probably not for me – but it is for you!

Anyway – here’s the skinny, straight from Nintendo –

With a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, Nintendo Switch™ and Nintendo Switch™ 2 players will be able to access a collection of Virtual Boy™ games to play anytime, anywhere! Create suspend points in each game to save your progress, rewind to fix your mistakes, and adjust the controls to suit your preferences as you bash robots in Teleroboxer™, jump between background and foreground in Virtual Boy™ Wario Land™, and more.

If that all sounds great to you, then you’ll be pleased to know the following titles will be available to play at launch:

  • Teleroboxer
  • Galactic Pinball
  • RED ALARM
  • GOLF
  • Virtual Boy Wario Land
  • 3-D TETRIS
  • The Mansion of Innsmouth

Don’t worry though, because Nintendo have promised more games will be released in the future, including never before released titles. Exciting!

Stuck on this god-forsaken island. Father of two, wishes he could play more games but real life always gets in the way. Prefers shorter and often smarter experiences, but Halo is King.
