Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. have just revealed details on a new Dragon Ball project due for launch in 2027. Age 1000 was announced at the Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event this weekend and it has been confirmed that it will contain an entirely new world and unique characters. The new game project is being headed up by Dragon Ball legend Akira Toriyama, and fans of the franchise will notice that there is an entirely new character in the trailer, who was designed by Toriyama himself. We don’t currently have many more details on what the game will contain, but further updates are due at the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 which will be held in Los Angeles in April.

Per the team at Bandai Namco “Now in its sixth year, Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour was launched with the goal of delivering the latest news and the full appeal of DRAGON BALL – a franchise that continues to expand across manga, anime, films, games, figures, and toys – to fans around the world. This year as well, we will present a lineup of content packed with everything that represents DRAGON BALL today, on a scale and with a depth never seen before.
At this year’s event, fans can look forward to a special stage featuring the latest DRAGON BALL announcements, as well as various tournaments for titles such as DRAGON BALL FighterZ, DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME MASTERS, DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME FUSION WORLD, and DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME Fusion World Digital.
In addition, the event will offer an abundance of content, including stages and booth exhibits for various DRAGON BALL games, such as the newest titles DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA and DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO, alongside merchandise sales and more.”
