Blizzard has announced a schedule for the future of four franchises ‘next chapter: World of Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch, and Hearthstone. There will be deep dive livestreams coming soon. Here’s what they had to share for now.

In a series of social media posts, Blizzard have announced planned deep dives into the future of four major platforms. We have:
- World of Warcraft on January 29th at 9 AM PT
- Overwatch on February 4th at 10 AM PT
- Hearthstone on February 9th at 9:30 AM PT
- Diablo on February 11th at 2 PM PT
For 35 years, Blizzard has been shaped by the worlds we build – and the players who bring them to life. You’ve fought through World of Warcraft, battled in Diablo, played your cards in Hearthstone, and held the line in Overwatch.
We’ve come a long way together. And now, the next chapter begins.
Over the next few weeks, each world will showcase what comes next. If these games mean something to you, we’d love to see you there.
They shared the following video:
‘The Next Chapter’
They have declared it the ‘Next Chapter of Blizzard’. The publisher, alongside Activision and King were aquired by Microsoft Gaming on October 13th, 2023. The FTC’s final appeal was denied in May of 2025. Since then a slow trickle of older Activision and Blizzard games have joined the Xbox Game Pass service.
Overwatch, being a free-to-play game has gifted Game Pass Ultimate members cosmetic perks. New Call of Duty titles have hit the service Day One, with Diablo IV joining as well. World of Warcraft and Hearthstone, best I can tell, have no benefits for Xbox Game Pass customers. Hearthstone is f2p, though World of Warcraft is still a $15 a month subscription title.
