We’ve had a big week this week with Thursday’s Developer_Direct giving us the first in-depth look at both Forza Horizon 6 and Fable. Both titles looked pretty amazing, and promise to be highlights of 2026. We do have a while to wait for both of these though, so in the meantime, we want to know – what are you playing this weekend? Don’t forget to have your say in the poll below.
What we have been playing this week
Jesse (DonCabesa):
“My reviews for MIO: Memories in Orbit and Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven went up. Two indie darlings full of unique ideas and incredible looks.
MIO is a Hollowknight/Souslike Metroidvania that only takes the best from those genres that inspired it. It is in equal mesasures gorgeous and difficult. The combat is both basic and deep, with some of my favorite platforming in the genre.
Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven is an expansion nearly as big as the main game. It’s priced nearly the same as well. Thankfully, it earns that price tag thanks to some great new mechanics, and a ton of well made content.“
Gyozo (FairyEmpire):
“One of my favourite games of 2025, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been expanded quite a bit since we reviewed it back in March. The level cap increased from 60 to 100, replayable endgame content, the big expansion pack Claws of Awaji, on top of various quality of life updates, new weapons and so forth.
I haven’t really had the time to keep up with some of the news the game had to offer, but as I’m getting back to a more regular groove, I’m clearing up some content that has come out since release. A bit of a shame there apparently won’t be another major expansion to the game anymore, because the franchise’s trip to Japan still holds up fantastically, almost a year after its release.“
Jon (Sikamikanico):

“I have to admit, this week has seen things start to ‘get going’ in games coverage now, and I’ve mostly been playing something I can’t once again talk about directly. More very soon on that, I promise. In the interim, a random email in my mailbox led to me spending a reasonable chunk of time doing something I’ve never done before – making swords!
This is Bladesong, a sword making simulator with RPG elements that’s available now on Steam Early Access. You can level up your character’s various stats, and unlock all sorts of new blacksmithing skills to enable you to make more and more elaborate swords. The surprise however, is in the story, which is delivered entirely with text, allowing you to make various choices as you progress from living in a makeshift camp to working in the city of Eren Keep. It’s genuinely good, and fans who enjoy the sort of meditative, zen-like art of bending steel will find a fair bit to enjoy here! “
Kat (MortonToe):
“After watching the Developer_Direct on Thursday I was really impressed with what I saw of Forza Horizon 6. Having never played a Forza game before, I thought now was the time to dip my toes, and it’s safe to say I’m a fan. I spent most of yesterday evening locked in and cruising my way around Mexico and had so much fun. Although, I would say – it’s loads harder than driving a real car! I know exactly how the rest of my weekend will be spent.”
