A user on Reddit seems to have discovered a new launch date trailer for Bungie’s upcoming extraction shooter FPS, Marathon that has been shared earlier via the Xbox ‘Clubs’ feature. Check it out below!
The video, at least from what I can see has now been removed from the club page itself, but it certainly looks legit. It details a ‘deluxe edition’ of the game, which seems to come with some gun skins as part of the ‘Midnight Decay’ bundle. The trailer states you can pre-order now, with the game releasing on March 5th, 2026.
Now I’ve tried to replicate this on my own Xbox dashboard by adding the Club to my home page to check the video out in higher quality, but it seems to have already been removed, at least here in the UK. Either way, it certainly seems we’ll be hearing official confirmation of the release date soon enough.
Bungie recently released a new developer diary of the game, showcasing the various ‘runner shells’ players can utilise to mix up their gameplay. You can read more about that here. Like many of you, I have been a bit sceptical about Marathon, especially during the last public beta before the game was delayed. However, after watching through the above vidoc earlier in the week, it’s fair to say the the game is looking in a vastly better place, and dare I say it – Fun? (We are allowed to have fun in video games, right?)
