Top News:

Monday:

Ubisoft detailed new features coming to The Division 2: Warlords of New York expansion, giving fans a closer look at upcoming content improvements. Meanwhile, Palworld surprised players by announcing an official card game launching in July 2026. Rounding out the day, ARC Raiders hit an impressive 12 million sales milestone, with nearly one million concurrent players reported.

Tuesday:

Peter Molyneux revealed that his next project, Masters of Albion, is set to launch on Steam this April. Battlefield Studios announced an extension of Battlefield 6 Season 1 to allow more development time for Season 2, while Meta reportedly began shutting down multiple studios, including Twisted Pixel and Sanzaru Games. Additional news included Grounded 2’s latest public test update adding a snake, and The Division 2 unveiling a limited-time Avatar crossover event.

Wednesday:

The long-awaited Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake showed new signs of life after receiving an ESRB rating. Speculation grew around Forza Horizon 6 after a potential release date leak surfaced within FH5. Other highlights included the return of the ECCO the Dolphin franchise, new additions to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, and Civilization VII Arcade Edition heading to Apple Arcade in early February.

Thursday:

IO Interactive shared updated PC specifications for 007 First Light, helping players prepare for launch. Fans also got their first look at Sophie Turner as Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider project, alongside fresh Resident Evil Requiem gameplay footage featuring Leon. The day wrapped up with details on where to watch Xbox Developer_Direct 2026 and confirmation that New World: Aeternum services will shut down in January 2027.

Friday:

Amazon teased an immersive Fallout marketing concept that aims to put fans inside a real-world-style vault experience. Sega celebrated Sonic the Hedgehog’s 35th anniversary, while Hi-Fi Rush physical editions opened for pre-orders. New gameplay footage for Planet of Lana 2 impressed visually, and post-apocalyptic SRPG Deep Fringe launched into Steam Early Access, with reviews beginning to roll in.
