What are you playing this weekend?
We are just getting back into the swing of things here. More games are starting to come out as we settle into 2026 and we are gearing up for a busy few months. This is our regular Saturday feature where we would like to hear from you, our community. You can check out what some of the XboxEra team have been up to this week, and towards the bottom of the article we have a poll where you can tell us what you are playing this weekend. Let’s get cracking.
Jon (Sikamikanico):

“This week, as I await the onslaught of games heading our way in short order, I’ve been going in back in time and playing through 2018’s God of War from Sony Santa Monica. It’s still very pretty, whether playing it on my desktop PC in Ultrawide with all the bells and whistles turned on, or on my ROG Xbox Ally X, where following a few tweaks to some settings, I’ve got it running at 60FPS and still looking very nice indeed.
I’ve just got to the first new realm, and the plot is really getting started now. I did have to reconfigure the controls a bit, but I’m definitely having fun with it. Outside of that, the only thing I’ve been playing I can’t talk about yet – but the site will have plenty on something new this coming week!“
Gyozo (FairyEmpire):
“One of my favourite games of 2025, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been expanded quite a bit since we reviewed it back in March. The level cap increased from 60 to 100, replayable endgame content, the big expansion pack Claws of Awaji, on top of various quality of life updates, new weapons and so forth.
I haven’t really had the time to keep up with some of the news the game had to offer, but as I’m getting back to a more regular groove, I’m clearing up some content that has come out since release. A bit of a shame there apparently won’t be another major expansion to the game anymore, because the franchise’s trip to Japan still holds up fantastically, almost a year after its release.“

Kat (MortonToe):
“I haven’t had a lot of time to play this week unfortunately, but I have been ploughing through Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in my attempt to ‘get good’ (Jon’s words). It’s definitely testing me, but I am really enjoying it and am determined to get to the end! Please feel free to hit me up with suggestions of what I should try next. Games I loved have been Pentiment, Blue Prince and Dispatch.“
