Tarsier Co-op Horror ‘REANIMAL’ Will Have ‘Friend’s Pass’ Feature

If, like us, you’re eagerly awaiting to play through Tarsier’s new co-op horror game ‘REANIMAL’ but worried you didn’t have someone else to play through it with, worry no more! REANIMAL is set to have a ‘Friend’s Pass’ feature, per the developer.

This is a fairly late in the marketing run development for REANIMAL, which already has a co-op demo for the game live and available on multiple platforms, including most recently, the Nintendo Switch 2. The game went gold last month, and sharing the news on social media, Tarsier said “Awesome news, Reanimal will have Friend’s Pass! More information [in the] coming weeks.”

It all seems very last minute, but that’s not a bad thing. The feature has been a regular staple in multiple co-op games lately, after it was popularised by Hazelight and their co-op focuses hits, It Takes Two and Split Fiction. The premise of course, is that a player can buy one copy of the game, and invite a friend to play co-op, even if that friend doesn’t own the game themselves.

Will it support cross-platform co-op? That we don’t know, but like Tarsier said – more information to come!

REANIMAL will launch on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on Friday, February 13th, 2026.
