Capcom held a 13-minute-long Resident Evil Requiem Showcase that gave us our first look at Leon Kennedy’s gameplay.

Leon, Grace, & Watches? Oh my!
CAPCOM just aired a Resident Evil showcase. We got to see our first glimpse of Leon Kennedy in action, alongside some of the horror-focused sections with Grace Ashcroft. Leon is an experienced fighter both in melee and at ranged. His sections looked similar to Resident Evil 4’s 2023 Remake. The action was fast with CQC and parries.
Grace’s side of the title looks similar to Resident Evil Village’s campaign. A mix of survivor horror, with limited resources. This protagonist has some training, but isn’t a near super-human chainsaw maniac like Leon. The showcase highlighted how the zombies have lost most, but not all of their humanity.
Chefs want to cook, Singers want to sing, and Grace will have to craft items using infected blood to try and survive against them. The “Requiem assault revolver” is a powerful gun with limited ammo that gives Grace a better chance against the toughest fights.

Difficulties and Collaborations
Difficulty modes were covered. There are Casual and Standard. Casual lets you save without ribbons, a more generous aim assist, and you both have more health and take less damage from attacks. Survival ups the incoming, lowers your HP, and requires those damned save ribbons, shocker!
There are also watch and car collabs:
It’s time to unveil an extraordinary collaboration with the historic watch company Hamilton which has intricately designed two dazzling watch models that replicate those worn by Leon and Grace in-game in stunning detail. The Khaki Field Auto Chrono (Leon) and the Pan Europ Automatic (Grace) can be purchased starting on Friday, February 27, the same day Resident Evil Requiem launches, and are extremely limited with only 2,000 units available worldwide
And racing to the finish line is the lightning fast collaboration with Porsche, the automaker that has captivated car enthusiasts worldwide for decades. A one-of-a-kind Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT has been created with complex 3D printing technology, perfectly customizing the vehicle to fit into the game’s distinctly dark world. Designed around the core themes of performance and survival, this custom SUV appears in the game as Leon’s vehicle – a legendary ride for a legendary character.
See you in February
Finally, two 1/6 scale figures of both Grace and Leon will be coming out this fall. They’re said to match previous collector’s editions, for those of you with lots of Resident Evil merch in your homes. For the 30th anniversary of the RE franchise, there will be a ‘Resident Evil Symphony of Legacy” orchestral performances in the US, Japan, and throughout Europe later in 2026.
Resident Evil Requiem will release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5/Pro, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam on February 27th, 2026
