Fable is releasing at some point in 2026 and we are super excited to get our hands on it. We are returning to Albion in this reboot of the classic Lionhead series by Playground Games. So, we know that it is releasing this year, but for all those who are already subscribed to Xbox Game Pass, there’s always one question. Is Fable on Xbox Game Pass?
Fable is an action RPG, and this latest title is a re-boot of the classic series of games. The previous game Fable: The Journey was released in 2012, but the original studio behind it, Lionhead Studios closed in 2017. In this latest instalment, you play as Humphry, a great hero forced out of retirement when a mysterious figure appears. Are you able to save Albion? From the footage we have already seen, there looks to be a mix of combat, open-world exploration and choice making in what looks to be the largest iteration of Albion that we have experienced.
We don’t currently have a concrete release date for Fable, but it is due for launch in 2026. Now to see if Fable is on Xbox Game Pass.

Fable will be a Day One release on Xbox Game Pass when it launches, which is great news for subscribers.
