Earlier in the month, the folks at IO Interactive shared a new developer diary and blog that shone some ‘first light’ on their upcoming Bond game’s PC specs. Turns out, they weren’t quite right, and the team have now released an updated version.
We are providing today an update to the PC system requirements for 007 First Light after the community flagged some inconsistencies in an earlier version of the listing.

Indeed, the original PC specs were…demanding, to say the least, with the recommended specs suggesting 32GB RAM, which would be a little overkill among other issues like VRAM and the minimum CPU requirements. If you want to know what settings are required for say, ‘Ultra’? You’ll have to wait a while.
In a post on social media, the team apologised for the error, saying “We are providing today an update to the PC system requirements for 007 First Light after the community flagged some inconsistencies in an earlier version of the listing. The earlier mistake was due to an internal miscommunication leading to an older version of the specs to be shared. After a thorough re-examination and additional testing, the recommended RAM has been corrected from 32GB to 16GB, VRAM values have been updated, and the minimum CPU line has been fixed. Additional performance targets will be shared closer to launch. We’re sorry for the confusion this caused and appreciate everyone who brought it to our attention. The updated specs are now live on our store pages, and we’re looking forward to sharing more of 007 First Light with you ahead of launch.“

We’re all looking forward to getting hands on with 007 First Light, following our preview of the game during Gamescom last year. The wait is a little longer than previously expected, as the game was delayed out of March to May of this year instead.
007 First Light is now releasing May 27th, 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
