Carmageddon: Rogue Shift
Releasing on February 6th, 2026 on PC (Steam), Xbox Seriex X|S and PlayStation 5.
A new Carmageddon game wasn’t on any of our bingo cards, and yet, it’s here in early 2026 already. A captivating new roguelike spin on the franchise, bringing back the roaming undead hordes from the infamous censored versions of old. This one could go either way, but what we saw seems intriguing.

Screamer
Releasing on March 26th, 2026 for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox PC via Play Anywhere), Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
If Carmageddon making a comeback sounded unlikely, imagine our shock when this forgotten 90’s arcade racing was announced to be coming back, nearly 30 years after the last entry. Italian racing legends Milestone is bringing us Screamer: a unique and innovative twist on the series and genre alike, presenting an anime-style presentation with a rich storyline, various characters with completely different cars, racing styles and abilities, on top of various promising gameplay ideas. Definitely one of the most exciting “traditional” AAA arcade racers in many years.
Alright, I think that’s quite enough to be getting on with! Did any of these games pique your interest or do you only want to check out those big ‘AAA’ bangers? Let us know in the XboxEra Forums or make some noise in the lively XboxEra Community Discord Server. If you’re looking to be a bigger part of an amazing community, then either choice is a good one!
