Metroidvanias! Can’t really get enough of them, can you? Those hungering for the next game in the genre to jump into can look no further than Mio, slated to release in just a couple of weeks. The game looks beautiful and we have a feeling it’s going to be a great title to kick off an incredible year.

There Are No Ghosts at the Grand
Launching this year on PC via Steam/Xbox PC and Xbox Series consoles (Play Anywhere supported)
Day One Game Pass Launch
If you haven’t seen the reveal trailer for this game, then you need to stop what you’re doing and do so. A mishmash of various genres and a very clear Lovecraftian horror aspect has us super intrigued at what the final product ends up being. We hope you like talking cats!

Hungry Horrors
Launches 19 January on PC via Steam
Hungry Horrors is a card-based adventure inspired by British and Irish folklore. It blends deckbuilding and cooking with narrative, and permanent roguelite progression. Feed legendary monsters instead of killing them, satisfy their cravings, or become the next meal.

RACCOIN
Launching sometime this year on PC via Steam
A coin-pushing dopamine machine. RACCOIN is a roguelike deckbuilder where you combine special coins with powerful items to trigger wildly satisfying combos. Stack shiny towers, spin the lucky wheel, and shake the machine until all the coins drop. We’ve played it and it’s pretty damned addictive.
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando
Launching on 12 March on PC via Steam, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5 consoles
First announced two years ago, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is finally approaching the finish line after being delayed out of 2024. Promising ‘buddy-movie’ vibes as you slay countless zombies together with your pals, we got to go hands-on with this squad-based first person shooter at Gamescom 2025, and it’s really good.
