The team behind the hugely successful title Phasmophobia have announced that they are starting their own publishing company to assist indie developers in getting their games to market. The CEO of Kinetic Games and Game Director of Phasmophobia is aiming to offer the level of support that he would have liked to have been offered back when he was launching the game. Phasmophobia was a huge hit, reaching a milestone of over 25 million copies in early access, and now the team at Kinetic Games want to give back to the industry – as the Kinetic Publishing Label is launched by the developers of Phaasmophobia.

Per the team at Kinetic Publishing “Kinetic Publishing aims to champion innovation within the independent game development space, and help teams on games across a wide range of genres, with a focus on a small slate, meaning each team can receive meaningful attention alongside tailored support.
The new label will offer financial, legal and marketing support and wider development guidance, and with over five years of experience, the Phasmophobia team feel they can provide the help that CEO & Solo developer, Daniel Knight would have wanted when he was launching the game in 2020.
Now leading a team of over 30 , Daniel Knight, CEO of Kinetic Games and Game Director of Phasmophobia said: “It’s such an exciting time for indie game development, I can say that in the past five years I’ve learned so much. The fact we’ve grown so much as a company means we’re now in the place where we want to support studios who come under our wing, and provide the support I’d have appreciated at the start of my journey.”
Kinetic Publishing will be looking to take on creative games from small teams and solo developers globally, who have a clear vision for their title and are 12-18 months from release.”
Fans of Phasmophobia do not need to panic as the development team for the game is still working on it full-time and are focusing on the 1.0 launch and a host of other updates.
