The Year Ahead | The Biggest Games of 2026

Nioh 3
Coming February 5th 2026 on PC via Steam and PlayStation 5.
Team Ninja’s dark fantasy action-RPG series is back! Unleash your skills and take the fight a new, powerful enemy known as the Crucible. You’ll play as Tokugawa Takechiyo and it looks pretty great!

Saros
Launches April 30th 2026, exclusively on PlayStation 5.
Returnal was a great third-person shooter and but for our money, a somewhat mediocre roguelite. We’ve got high hopes that SAROS adds that layer of deliciously addictive meta-progression alongside some improved run diversity to take Housemarque’s latest to the next level.

Half-Life 3
Launching never-ever on your imaginary platform of choice
Look mate, you’re (probably) getting old. Half-Life 2 Episode 2 launched when 360s were red-ringing en masse and the PlayStation 3’s only game was Haze. If you’re old enough to remember what a Half-Life is and have one instance of smashing a Windows Vista-based desktop into pieces, you’re that much closer to your first shingles vaccination.
Time to bust out the LiveJournal and write your own sequel!

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
Slated for a launch this year on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
Crystal Dynamics announced not one but two brand-new Tomb Raider games. While the newest adventure isn’t coming until 2027, developers Flying Wild Hog are tackling a full on remake of the very first game in the franchise. Yes, we will get to fight dinosaurs once again. Awesome.

Pokémon Pokopia
Launching March 5th, 2026 exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2
In what looks to be Animal Crossing meets Pokémon, you apparently play as a Ditto which has been transformed into a human. In your new form, you’ll ‘shape an empty land into a beautiful home for Pokémon’ in Pokémon Pokopia’ – at least that’s what Nintendo says. Could be massive!

Edit: looks like it’s fixed.
The year is so huge, there are some games that aren’t mentioned here, like Virtua Fighter, Stranger Than Heaven, and more. Granted, those don’t have release date yet but you never know like GTA6. Time will tell. Brace yourself.
Also Lego Batman, Plague Tale Resonance, and Star Wars Zero Company!
The Star Wars Zero Company games looks amazing!! I hope it’s Play Anywhere
We have another article coming with the less AAA stuff to check out. Sit tight!
My sitting is tightening!
