Fallout 5, Fallout 3 Remake, and Fallout New Vegas Remake have been greenlit, according to Windows Central

It’s a Fallout World

A Fallout 3 Remake and Fallout 5 have been greenlit, with the former being in the works. This is according to friend of the site, Jez Corden, over at Windows Central. In the wide-ranging piece, focused on Xbox in 2026 and beyond, the Fallout franchise has its own section.

In it, Jez states that, “On the topic of Fallout, we are of course also eventually getting Fallout 5, which I understand to be greenlit.” Fallout 4 was released back in 2015 to critical acclaim and commercial success. Bethesda’s next game was Fallout 76, which had a rocky launch but has become a resounding success over the subsequent years.

After Starfield was released in 2023, once again to critical acclaim and commercial success, the next title from BGS was set to be The Elder Scrolls VI. This has led fans to question when the next Fallout game will be released.

While Fallout 5 may be a ways off still, a remake of Fallout 3 has long been rumored. After last year’s successful launch of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, it seems even more obvious. On that topic, Jez, as well as noted leaker Nate the Hate, has confirmed the Fallout 3 Remake alongside a New Vegas one.

There is all that and a lot more in the article over at Windows Central.
