If you were hoping to see a little more on Marvel’s BLADE before the end of 2025, you’re not likely to get your wish! However, one of the Creative Directors at Arkane Lyon replied to fan on social media and provided a brief update on the game.
The team is hard at work, everyone is super proud and out doing themselves. Please be patient, it will be a special game and we all hope it will be meeting the high standards that we set for ourselves and for you all. 🧡🖤

Dinga Bakaba, Studio and Co-Creative Director at Arkane Lyon took some time out to reply to a fan, who only had one wish for Christmas this year – to hear or see something on BLADE, which hasn’t been seen since the announcement back in 2023 at the Game Awards.
Replying on social media, Dinga shared a small update, saying:
“The team is hard at work, everyone is super proud and out doing themselves. Please be patient, it will be a special game and we all hope it will be meeting the high standards that we set for ourselves and for you all.“
Per the press release at the time of the trailer being released, ‘In Marvel’s Blade, Eric Brooks is the legendary Daywalker, half-man, half-vampire torn between the warm society of the living and the rushing power of the undead. From Bethesda and Arkane Lyon, the studio that brought you Dishonored and “DEATHLOOP”, Marvel’s Blade is a mature, single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris, now in development in collaboration with Marvel Games.‘
We’d wager it’s going to be a while before we actually see more from Blade – often these early announce trailers are mainly focused on recruitment for developers, and if the average timeframe for a game of this scope and scale is anything to go by, we’d wager it’s likely targeting a 2027 release.
