Weekly Roundup December 15-21
Hello there, Xbox fans. It’s time for our weekly roundup so you can catch up on anything you may have missed over the last week. Everything is winding down for the festive period now but there has still been some news and even a couple of reviews to check out. So without further ado, here is the weekly roundup for December 15-21.

Top News:
Monday:
To begin the week, Xbox Game Pass confirmed two titles planned for January 2026, while Bungie shared a new ViDoc and confirmed a March 2026 release window for Marathon. EA also relaunched its EA Play Holiday Picks promotion with ten days of new deals, and RuneScape: Dragonwilds received a substantial free update with the release of the “Fellhollow” content.

Tuesday:
Hollow Knight: Silksong surpassed 7 million sales, with millions more playing via Xbox Game Pass, while a Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade demo launched for Switch 2 and Xbox Series consoles. Elsewhere, Dead Island 3 was confirmed to be targeting a 2028 release, ARC Raiders rolled out its Cold Snap update, and Turn 10 announced there would be no new content coming to Forza Motorsport.

Wednesday:
Warner Bros. confirmed it will remain with Netflix’s takeover bid despite an aggressive offer from Paramount, while Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 led November sales but reportedly still fell short of expectations. On the content side, Dying Light: The Beast received its Patch 1.5 Nightmare Experience update, and Fallout TV show character skins were announced for Call of Duty.

Thursday:
The Xbox Countdown Sale went live, offering wide-ranging discounts on top titles, while Geoff Keighley revealed that The Game Awards 2025 was the most-watched edition yet. Reports also suggested Xbox will not be offering a “Wrapped”-style player breakdown for 2025, and No Rest For The Wicked detailed its upcoming co-op update.

Friday:
The week closed with several notable content updates and releases. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl launched its “Stories Untold” update, while DAVE THE DIVER expanded with the In the Jungle DLC, adding new gameplay systems. A surprise indie hit, Sektori, received a fresh update, and the ARK: Lost Colony expansion pack became available.
