Jump Space ‘Augmented Update’ Now Live

If you’ve taken a little rest from Jump Space, and you’re looking to hop back in, then you may just have the perfect excuse. Jump Space’s ‘The Augmented Update’ is now live for all players, so it might be time to ‘jump’ back in!

There’s a lot to unpack on this one! First up, and likely music to the ears of any player that experienced frequent crashes or disconnects this new update brings it a heap of stability fixes, with what the team refer to as a ‘dedicated push for stability’.

The banner feature for this update to Jump Space is of course is the new ‘Augment System’. These are player-specific perks that can be equipped, adding another layer of permanent progression and personalisation. Players are assigned a specific budget of power for things like personal shields, mutli-tool mag size or additional ‘on-foot’ damage. The developers hope this leads to players pursuing personal builds and avoid pushing players to specific ‘classes’.

Elsewhere, players can enjoy a new Cargo Bag making life a little bit easier with a handy sack to carry loot in, improvements to the Buddy-Bot for players that enjoy solo outings that include being able to order him about, new ‘on-foot’ survival missions and new enemies. There’s even a fun Christmas-themed event with a new ‘Winter Zorbok’ helmet to earn – that event runs from December 18th through to January 1st.
