Per Activision, “For a limited time from December 16th until December 22nd, play a selection of Multiplayer and Zombies content in Call of Duty®: Black Ops 7 for free. During the Free Trial period, play select BO7 Multiplayer modes and maps including the fan-favorite ‘Nuketown 2025’ – remastered with stunning visuals and refined combat flow. Plus, enjoy the Zombies experience and try your hand in the thriller ‘Ashes of the Damned’. And last but not least – in celebration with CODMAS, take delight in the ‘Sleighjacked’ MP Map decorated for the gift-giving season, or drop into Holiday Havoc, a festive moshpit combining your favorite modes with holiday cheer. Don’t miss all of this and MORE!

The free trial was announced in a blog post that went live last week, where the team reacted to the launch of the game, saying “With respect to Black Ops 7, we set our sights to deliver a spiritual successor to Black Ops 2 and the studios have poured their passion into making a great game that all of us are very proud of. But it’s one thing for us to say it, more importantly it’s up to you to try it and judge for yourselves.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 | Complete Review

Despite the criticism online which mostly focused on the games divisive campaign, Call of Duty Black Ops 7 still managed to be the #1 game on Game Pass for November, and the franchise was #1 overall.

With Season 1 now in full swing, our resident Call of Duty addict Gyozo took the new content for an extended spin, saying “Season 01 may not be a transformative experience for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 (not that we expect it to be, only a few weeks after the game’s launch). Yet, it is an important statement of intent by Treyarch and Activision though. No matter the controversies, this game will receive a stellar amount of content throughout the year, and what we’ve seen so far is of impressive quality. Bombastic new events in Endgame, one of the most exhilarating Zombies maps to date, excellent Multiplayer maps whether new or old, a big Warzone reset and much more. Black Ops 7 may not be everybody’s jam, but those in for the ride are going to have an absolute blast in the months to come, with more new maps, weapons, playlists and cosmetics to drop during the season and beyond. Stay tuned!

You can grab the free trial on Xbox, as well as on Steam and PlayStation.
