2025 has been a very good year for video games, and the team at Xbox have gone and hit us right in the feels with a nostalgic look back at the past – not just for the year, but for gaming as a whole. Check it out below.
According to Xbox, “Somewhere between loading screens and late-night quests, there are moments we never forget. Here’s to another year of joy, laughter, tears, and everything in between – celebrating the games, the players, and the moments that brought us here.“
Feels like a suitably nostalgic signoff to what’s been a pretty great year for Xbox when it comes to games, and a turbulent year for Xbox as a brand. Arguably, they’re releasing more games in a higher quality and cadence of releases than ever before. They even released the first ‘partnered’ handheld device with the ASUS Xbox Ally, but dwindling console hardware sales have fuelled online discussion.
Microsoft’s decision to fully embrace multiplatform releases has done little satisfy hardcore fans, and 2025 also saw Halo announced for the first time for PlayStation. We’re all still recovering!
Regardless of all that upheaval, 2026 looks to continue the games, games, games side of the business with some serious gusto. We’ve got new releases like Forza Horizon 6, Halo Campaign Evolved, Fable and more to look forward to!
