Last week, developer Studio Wildcard announced that the latest apex creature to grace the major expansion ‘ARK: Lost Colony’ will launch this week, 18 December. This mysterious celestial dragon, dubbed the “Aureliax”, is a telekinetic serpentine that demands players prove their worth before they are able to tame it. This wondrous menace joins the likes of Ossidon as part of the Lost Colony expac, who dropped into the game last month.
As the first major canonical update to ARK: Survival Ascended, ARK: Lost Colony serves as the narrative bridge between ‘Extinction’ and whereabouts unknown ‘ARK 2’. This expansion features the voice talents of Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All At Once) reprising her ARK: The Animated Series role as Mei Yin, Madeleine Madden (Wheel of Time) as Helena Walker, Auli’i Cravalho (Moana) as Meeka, along with Katie Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) as Diana Altaras, David Tennant (Doctor Who, DuckTales) as Edmund Rockwell, and Keith David (Halo, Mass Effect) as new villain The Lost King.
The paid “Lost Colony Expansion Pass” is available across PC via Steam/Xbox PC, Xbox Series (Play Anywhere supported), and PlayStation 5 consoles. The game is also available via Xbox Game Pass, but the DLC pass is a separate purchase.
