Checkpoint | The XboxEra Community Game of the Year 2025
Your community needs you!
What a year in video games 2025 has been. For all the horrible layoffs and studio closures that have affected this industry, if you’re someone that just enjoys playing video games, I’d argue that 2025 has been a year that stands as one of the very best in a long, long time.
Gamers have enjoyed a wide variety of different games this year. Incredible indie titles that have appeared out of nowhere. Expansive, genre defining RPGs that provided hundreds of hours of enjoyment. Multiplayer releases that have challenged some of the biggest franchises out there and captured the imagination – and time – of millions of gamers worldwide. While our team is busy voting and deciding on our overall picks for XboxEra’s ‘Game of the Year’, we all have our own personal favourites. And so do you – So it’s time you had your say!
This is our first site-wide community Game of the Year vote, and it’s your opportunity to have your say and award points to the best games you’ve played this year. Our list is extensive, and contains every game we reviewed this year that released on Xbox. If we’ve missed your favourite, let us know in the survey, and we’ll include it.
So get voting!
How it Works:
We want to know your top 10 games of this year. The top option in the poll is worth 10 points, so your number one game, and so on. You can add anything we have missed at the bottom. Voting closes on December 24th, and we will publish the results by December the 31st.
The XboxEra Community Game of the Year 2025:
What’s your Game of the Year? Have your say in the XboxEra Forums or make some noise in the lively XboxEra Community Discord Server. If you’re looking to be a bigger part of an amazing community, then either choice is a good one!
