On Friday, developer Grinding Gear Games released their latest content update “The Last of the Druids” for ‘Path of Exile 2‘. You’ll be able to play through the campaign for free between 12 December at 8PM to the 15th at 8PM CET—available on PC via (GGG Launcher) and (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. This’ll give you a chance to try out the new brand-new class The Druid. The game also sees optimisation and rebalancing with Patch 0.4.0 and, lastly, Twitch Drops are live and will net you a fancy Skill Effect and Stash Skin.

Shapeshift Into Power
The Druid arrives with three lethal forms, and Talismans that channel the power of Draiocht to transform into:
- Wolf: Freeze enemies and lead a deadly pack
- Bear: Build Rage and Maul everything in your path
- Wyvern: Take flight and unleash lightning, fire, and aerial devastation.
In human form, wield earth-shattering storms, erupting volcanoes, and binding roots, supported by the new Spell Totem skill.
Pick between two Druid Ascendancies, which are:
- The Shaman: Consumes Rage to amplify elemental destruction, harnesses ancient Runes and Idols for advanced build customization, and triggers multi-elemental storms with the Bringer of the Apocalypse.
- The Oracle: Uses Foresight to predict enemy actions, amplifying skill damage, merging future and present timelines with Moment of Vulnerability, and accessing 130+ new passives, including unique abilities such as Self-Sacrificing and Corruption Endures.
Gameplay Optimisation & Rebalancing – Over 30 new Support Gems – including several new Lineage Supports, introduce major build diversity, alongside 11 new Unique items and extensive balance updates to dozens more. For more details and the full patch notes, please refer to:

Construct temples to challenge Vaal’s dark legacy, subduing the Royal Architect and confronting Queen Atziri, the new Pinnacle Boss. Players can customize temple layouts, unlock over a dozen unique room types, and access new Vaal crafting mechanisms:
- Juatalotli’s Triumph: Alters corrupted Vaal Unique items.
- Precursor Machine: Corrupts Tablets using ancient energy.
- Jiquani’s Triumph: Distorts Soul Cores.
- Kishara’s Acquisition: Attempts to salvage socketables from equipment.
Defeating Atziri rewards Atziri’s Rule, a staff that grants additional levels to all corrupted gems, allows life-for-damage trade-offs, and spawns mirrors of refraction that chain projectiles into devastating novas.
Dive Into The Abyss – Abyssal mechanics are now permanent, with Atlas passives, upgraded Tablets, and removal of Abyssal crafting and Instilling on Waystones to reduce friction. Tablets are now more powerful and upgradable to Rares, upon defeating the Arbiter of Ash.
