It’s a double-whammy for Amazon Games. First up, they’ve announced two Tomb Raider Games. One is coming in 2027, and the other is coming next year. Say hello to Tomb Raider: Catalyst and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.
Let’s deal with the new one first shall we?
Tomb Raider: Catalyst
Per the developers, “The legendary Lara Croft returns in Tomb Raider: Catalyst, the next all-new entry in the Tomb Raider series, coming in 2027.”
Per a press release, “Tomb Raider: Catalyst, which has been in development by Crystal Dynamics since the partnership with Amazon Game Studios was announced in 2022, marks a bold direction for the series as Lara Croft embarks on a new adventure across Northern India. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the title offers the series’ largest world yet, inviting players to uncover secrets, delve into lost tombs packed with intricate puzzles and solve ancient mysteries using Lara Croft’s unmatched brilliance and adventure tech. Set to launch in 2027, Tomb Raider: Catalyst delivers an intense narrative of trust and betrayal that tests Lara Croft in new ways.”
But before we can look to the future, it seems best to look back to the past.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
Per Amazon Games, “Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a stunning reimagining of the 1996 genre-defining game. As Lara Croft, harness your wits and athleticism to explore exotic locations lost to time—from the jungles of Peru to the ancient ruins of Greece, the deserts of Egypt, and a mysterious Mediterranean island shrouded in myth. Traverse treacherous landscapes, solve deadly contraptions, and face lethal predators as you hunt for the scattered pieces of the Scion, an artifact of immeasurable power. Whether you’re a veteran raider or new to Lara’s world, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis delivers jaw-dropping visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, modern game design, and new surprises, while honoring the spirit and atmosphere of Lara Croft’s debut adventure.“
