LEGO Party Update v1.3 goes live – Full patch notes

The hilarious co-op party game from LEGO has just received a big update. Featuring new minifigures, additional levels and loads more as well as bug fixes and performance improvements, this is definitely an update to check out – and it comes just in time for Christmas party game fun. We reviewed LEGO Party when it came out, and we absolutely loved it. You can read the full review here. We are hugely excited to see that one of the things we commented on within the review has now been adjusted. We noted that some of the jokes came across quite harshly, which upset one of the younger members of our review squad, and as part of this new update “Ted & Paige got a formal warning about some of their jokes, they will be less mean spirited from now on“. Great news!

  1. Easy difficulty returns to LEGO® Party! Fun for the whole family, and not the CPU’s
  2. New exciting levels (130+) added to 20 different Minigames
  3. New Minifigures added and 250+ new parts to customise your Minifigure with
  4. Keep the pace up, with the new ability to skip CPU turns in the Minigames
  5. Improved stability of our online lobbies and rejoin functionality
  6. Players no longer end up in the void when slapped in the Minigame results area
  7. Ted & Paige got a formal warning about some of their jokes, they will be less mean spirited from now on
  8. Earned Trophies & Achievements now unlock for all players
  9. Various bug fixes and performance improvements

    1. Added ability to skip CPU turns in turn based Minigames
    2. Readying up now skips your turn in Minigame practice
    3. Fixed missing shadows on Wrecking Brawl
    4. Light the Way minigame now show the light moving for the host as expected
    5. Drones in Deep Space Dine no longer get stuck in the corner
    6. Removed white boxes during transition in Arty Smarty
    7. Fixed online animations in Drill & Chill minigame
    8. Grey boxes now disappear in Turning Heads minigame
    9. Player now respawn the correct way in Stop, Drop & Side Scroll
    10. Cursor no longer appears before game start on quiz Minigames
    11. Ten Pin Rolling scoring changed for more dynamic scores
    12. Fixed rank positions in Simplified Chinese
    13. Fixed controller instructions in Brick Brigade
  5. UI/UX & Menu Fixes
    1. Fixed stuttering when opening certain progression menus
    2. Added Random option to Minigames game mode
    3. Improved messaging on input of a bad name
    4. Player no longer go slow motion when disconnecting back to the main menu
    5. Removed excess noise when scrolling in social screen
    6. Removed Rename button when playing local co-op
    7. Loading screen text no longer clash with rejoin text
    8. Scrolling the unlocks screen now speed up when button is held
    9. Choice arrows now clear correctly in game show screens
    10. Players can now save their game twice in a row, without losing their save
  6. Challenge Zone Fixes
    1. Challenge Zone junctions now use the same arrow key inputs as other minifigure movements
    2. Playing the Pirate Challenge Zone for the first time now level the player up after completion
    3. Slow Roller power up now give the correct number landed on
    4. Added Golden Brick animation to the chest in Pirate Challenge Zone
    5. Added Golden Brick decal to voting island
    6. Added loading notification to map opening sequence
    7. Removed disconnect icon from trap sign
    8. Fixed white UI on chance space brick exchange
    9. Fixed lighting on the Cat Bus in Space Challenge Zone
    10. Removed Crystal King sword swipe effect remaining on screen in NINJAGO® challenge zone
  7. Misc Fixes
    1. Players can no longer slap each other out of bounds in Minigame Results
    2. Local achievements earned now unlock across both player profiles
    3. Fixed lag on spinning emote when playing crossplay
    4. Added a bunch of missing studs to various models in the game
    5. Removed some mean spirited voiceover lines
    6. Updated Dock Icon on PC
    7. Minifigures now load faster in the lobby
    8. Various minor voiceover fixes
    9. Minor localisation fixes across multiple languages
