Over the weekend, publisher HoYoverse and language learning software company Duolingo announced another collaboration between Genshin Impact and the latter’s learning app of the same name, featuring a violently-obsessed language-learning owl. Sumeru character Tighnari and Cyno may be forcing Paimon to learn against her will, but you on the other hand can instead opt-into an in-app quest on the Duolingo app to earn an event-exclusive Genshin Impact Namecard, Avatar, and Primogems. Mmm, primos.
So, here’s how it works: beginning today and running until 27 December (the 25th is your last day to join in on the quest), players and learners can unlock the “Genshin Impact Quest” in any course on the Duolingo app.
Complete one unit lesson daily for three consecutive days to maintain your learning streak and ultimately sculpt a collectible in-app statue of Paimon and Duo—both emergency food sources and one that’ll be featured on your Duolingo account for as long as the universe continues to expand and grow. Tighnari, Cyno, and Paimon will show up to cheer on learners over the course of this event.

This event comes hot off the heels of the last update to the game “A Nocturne of the Far North“, which launched last week across all platforms and brought about a new story quest, characters, and improvements to certain older units through the Witch’s Homework questline. Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world adventure game that is available on PC via HoYoPlay, Xbox Series, PlayStation consoles, iOS, and Android via Google Play/Galaxy Store. The game is also playable over XCloud for users with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Genshin Impact supports crossplay and cross-saving across all platforms.
